1. Main purpose & Applicability
Bimetal elements steam trap can discharge the condensate water from steam pipe system pipe net and heating equipment in time, ensuring regular operation of the equipment and prevent steam from leaking. It’s significant for energy conservation. The bimetal elements steam trap are extensively used in industrial and mining enterprise, such as chemical industries, oil refining, electric power, textile and other light industries, paper making and so on.
2. Structural feature & Operational principle
2.1 Structural feature
(1) The bimetal elements expand when heated and contract when cooled, which can block steam well and save energy efficiently.
(2) Discharge water continuously and noiselessly.
(3) Temperature can be adjusted according to different equipment.
(4) Little volume, light weight, and easy assembly.

Bimetal elements +f2 close the valve seat system, and generate thrust force under the medium temperature. It’s reliable, good sealing property, durable and wear-resistant using f2 method to close.
2.3 Operational principle
The bimetal elements are composed of the metal material with special temperature with great wave difference. The feature of this structure is that the bimetal elements drive the valve flap directly when deformed, and control the outlet to open or close.

5. Assembly & maintenance
(1) The arrow in valve points at the outlet direction, with no demand for assembly angle.
(2) Assembly method in common case, see figure 1.
(3)If the equipment are always used discontinuously and the pipe is unclean, assemble according to figure 2. Open the by-pass valve to clear feculency before starting up the equipment.
(4)When assembling, we can regulate under different working pressure to achieve optimal working state.
(5)Regulating step of internal adjustment type: don’t need to cut off the air source. Open the hexagon cap and slightly revolt the valve stem clockwisely which decreases the opening. On the contrary, the opening increases.
The external adjustment type can be regulated in the adjusting bar. The principles of regulation is the same as above, and don’t need to cut off air source.
